Bachelor of Science in Interior Design

College of Health & Social Science

The Interior Design program prepares students for careers in interior design and closely related industries. The program focuses on both residential and commercial interior design and includes curricula which build on rigor within the transition from foundational courses through advanced level practicum courses. Program study includes a culminating experience within the final semester of study, the Senior Thesis Project.

Some key highlights and features about this major:

1. Scholarship opportunities: Rabolt, Lewenstein
2. We have a student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers professional organization.
3. We have a close relationship with the San Francisco Design Center and they reach out to us for student participation in events and sometimes internships. (We can no longer require internships, however students may choose to take them on outside of their studies).

The roadmap puts all of your graduation requirements into an easy-to-follow semester-by-semester plan so you know what to take to stay on track.  Whether you are a freshman or a transfer student, you'll be able to find a roadmap that best fits you.

Besides your major requirements, students must complete their GE and University requirements.  Be sure to make sure you've completed all of these requirements for graduation.
