Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Concentration in General Business

Lam Family College of Business

The concentration in General Business is designed to provide a solid foundation in the functional areas of business and offers students flexibility in selecting from a broad range of business courses. The concentration is intended to prepare students for careers in small, medium, or family businesses.

This General Business major provides students with flexibility in selecting their Concentration courses from among each of the business disciplines, including up to two upper division courses (with prior approval) from outside the Business discipline.
Students have basic competencies in business-related disciplines.

Students will demonstrate the discipline‐based knowledge in accounting, economics, finance, information systems, international business, management, marketing, operations, and statistics.

The General Business major provides key interactive skills through a number of student organizations (clubs), including Management Organization for Business (MOBS), International Business student organization, and POW (Providing Opportunity for Women). Internships and career development opportunities are available in the Lam Family College of Business' Career Services & Professional Development Center.
