Checking Out Textbooks from the Library
Did you know you can check out textbooks from the library for 24 - 48 hours?
The mission of the J. Paul Leonard Library is to empower its University constituency with lifelong learning skills to identify, find, evaluate, use, and communicate information in the promotion of excellence in scholarship, knowledge, and understanding.
Project Connect Book Loan Program
Project Connect exists to empower and involve the student body to promote higher education and facilitate graduation for low-income and historically underrepresented communities.
Project Connect offers a FREE Book Loan Service to all SFSU students who are in need. Applications are available on GatorXperience & opens at the beginning of the Fall & Spring semesters. Service includes physical textbooks, e-books, access codes, i-clickers, calculators, and other academic resources.
Finding What Textbooks You Need on the SF State Bookstore Website
Once you determine the textbooks your instructors require for classes, you can choose to purchase books at the SF State Bookstore (either online or in-person), borrow a book from Project Connect with their Book Loan Program, or check out a short-term loan from the J. Paul Leonard Library.
(Purchases made online or in-store at the SFSU Bookstore benefit the students and the University. The University receives annual financial allowances from its relationship with SFSU Bookstore that are in turn used to help support the academic mission of San Francisco State University.)
