Campus Academic Resource Program
Individual and small group tutoring services. CARP offers support via its Math, Science and Business Unit and Writing, Reading and Study Skills Unit. These units offer one-on-one or group tutorial sessions, tailored to students’ unique needs and learning styles. CARP also offers supplemental academic support via a variety of workshops, helpful handouts and fellowship programs. Additionally, CARP works closely with faculty to support GWAR courses and courses with high failure rates.
Learning Assistance Center
The LAC, a faculty-run tutoring center, offers tutoring in reading, writing, math, sciences and study skills. Our tutors can help you develop your academic skills, discover patterns and see connections between concepts, figure out what you know and what you still need to learn. English Tutoring Center
Academic support to undergraduate students enrolled in English composition, reading and English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Working one-on-one with tutors, students learn and practice the writing, reading and proofreading strategies necessary for critical, college-level writing. To be eligible for tutoring services at the ETC, you must be enrolled in an English composition, reading or ESL course (see Tutoring Services).
Tutoring in the Math Department
Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and upper-division Math classes. Hours will vary each semester. Details and the most recent schedule can be found posted on the door of the center at Thornton Hall 426, and in the Math Department Office in Thornton Hall 937.
